Meet The Team

Pastor Carolyn has been with Kingo for over a decade, and she enjoys serving the Kingo community because Kingo is curious about where the Holy Spirit is moving us. Grounded in a faith that is rooted in Christ’s grace, Kingo celebrates the diversity of God’s people and gifts. Pastor Carolyn graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before working as a violinist-teacher and graphic designer. She attended Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Pastor Carolyn is married to her wife Char. Together, they enjoy gardening, kayaking, and walking the shoreline of Lake Michigan. They live with an adopted rescue cat named Luna who has graciously accepted them as her staff.

​Dana joined Kingo’s staff in July of 2024. She attended college at UWM and went to graduate school at Mount Mary. She and her husband Steve were married in Kingo’s sanctuary by the pastor of their home church, The Ridge Community Church, in 2015. Her husband attended Kingo while growing up in Shorewood and her mother-in-law Lou Ann continues to be an active member. Dana grew up in Milwaukee where she and Steve continue to live with their 4 children. Dana is happy to be working in a Jesus-loving environment and continuing to grow in faith.

We are incredibly blessed by Maria's talents at accompanying congregational music. Whether it's a jazz piece, a traditional African hymn, a Latin processional song, or any of a host of other musical styles, Maria makes our church's song better. 

She and her husband, Tom, have been longtime residents of the Shorewood community.

Lexi Smith, Springfield native, is a graduate of Missouri State University. In the last decade, she has humbly sung on stages in Sarasota, Milwaukee, St. Croix, Missouri, Phoenix, Houston, Petoskey, and Italy. Now residing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she maintains the mindset of a life-long learner, and takes on several endeavours outside of her Teaching Assistant Position at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is currently Minister of Music at Kingo Lutheran Church, Chorister with Florentine Opera Company, Music Director at Port Washington Community Theatre, School of Rock Voice & Piano Teacher, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music Teacher, and Cantor for the Family of Five Catholic Parishes.

Susan and her husband Steve have been members of the wonderful Kingo community since 1989. Their daughter, Julie, resides in California. What Susan enjoys most about being Kingo's Financial Manager is working with and getting to know many different individuals. During her free time, Susan loves to spend time with her family. She is also an avid gardener and admits that she is often what people would classify as a “Crazy Cat Lady”!
